I'm currently working on the forum and have been adding fun features to it! Over the past week I've been making the subscription and coin payment system work nicely, and also tied the game login to work with the forum details so they're both tightly connected. I've also added live updates, kinda like the discord bot did, but with more details. and of course, i've made the forum look really really good!... I'm excited...

Today I've added a ring to avatars to show if they've funded the game
also, the forum will remember which characters you've logged in with icon and name:

I've also been thinking over the cost of the subscription/coins and have some thoughts about it, but I need to think about it more.
I know the "online only funder" change is a bit controversial so I'd like to think of a better solution that benefits everyone

Today I've connected the coin spending code from the new game server, which was pretty easy, compared to the old system. It's much easier programming this time around, as the last time I was trying to do too many things at once (coin per character, gifting coins, etc). Gifting still exists in the form of gifting items to others. I also thought over and wrote a draft of the actual changes I'd like to introduce to Funders and Coins, since I'd like to leave behind PayPal for good. It's likely that I'm going to lower the monthly cost and restrain some features to funders, but in a way that's not too jarring. So the payment system is pretty much done, with the exception of having some other accounts verified and approved. Gah, I really wanna get this forum ready, and get my new computer parts so I can get to work again. I really would like to work on the game again

I haven't really worked recently but the good news is, the payment system should be working, and the forum in general is pretty much done. Taking a bit of a break as I will be picking up my computer parts next week. As I get them and get my system set up, I shall update the game to make use of the forum login and update the server. Until then I will also settle on the new Funder and Coin terms

Another update. There's not much more to work on the forum but I've now tackled the server while I'm awaiting my new computer parts to arrive. And after that there will be ~2 weeks of holiday as I'm having a really kind and nice person visiting me~ For the Server i decided to let AI (i know i know but in my defense I only strictly use it for boring busywork and code maintenance and never any creative things) handle it and rewrite the server. I'm so glad I can have a machine do that work for me because I absolutely loathed working on it. Which is why it led to the server code inflating over the past 4 years and made it hard to fix up features. Well I know better now. I also added a whisper fuck up detector (if you have a space before the at symbol) it still sends it as PM . My apologies to the poor souls that had their little gossip leaked. (the fix will arrive when I update the game and server properly next month or something)

With regards to the client, there are a few bugs I need to fix as well... I know about the clothing pattern color save bug and a few others. I think I'm going to put most effort in to merging the changes I've already done on my laptop (which is modifying the login screen to use the forum login and coin systems I've set up) and the desktop (which is currently a disassembled m.2 drive that has all the up-to-date 0.22.3 code). It'll be fine, don't worry, gimme just a bit to fix the rest of the game for its peaceful future here on the Kemze forums, and then I'll start Beta 3 ^_^

I've gotten my computer parts earlier this week and I am putting together a development setup so that I can fix up the game properly!!!
