I'm currently working on the next version of the game, intended to be a patch to fix up some annoying issues and to swap the in-game funder account system to using the forum details rather than the old funder system. I'll make a post later how that will work

So, so far I've changed the account system, added a portal in the outpost for the "Neksil mokaratz" dream world, and fixed up the books to not be so glitchy when using them. I'm planning to fix up other things, like the clothing pattern reset bug, f6 not disabling weather effects, and some other stuff.

I've added an interesting CRT overlay effect. It gives a very strong nostalgic feel. I also worked on updating the eventpad to show forum events from now on~

Okay. I've worked a bit more to fix up some smaller annoyances that has been bothering me for a while. For example, doors can now be properly targeted with the enter/C key, and I've fixed players not spawning on LAN connections. I also fixed most of the main three species' clothes to be properly double sided.
I've uploaded a preview build in case you wanna try it (or I ask you to try it for me :3c)

I'm back to working on a few more things. The recent Open mic event, being as charming as it is, made me realize the stage is pretty bare, so I'd like to add some more fun, in the form of cardboard cutouts (big cutouts with a variety of symbols and pictures, the idea being that your friends help you visually storytell), stage light that casts a shadow (still thinking if it should be modifiable by players), and making the stage curtains hide the player tags behind them. Oh, also, the video player showing up while the projector screen is down, finally!

I decided to make the light colors adjustable for the player. The idea is that someone will stay put at the light switch, to be able to turn it off and on, as well as set the colors.

Another update today. Receiving a whisper from someone now flashes your game icon in the taskbar, and I've finally fixed duo emotes to others, that there was a weird delay before playing the animation. The hugging emote now looks like actually throwing oneself in to a hug.
It's getting there.. Just a few things more...

I just need help testing all of the new/old/existing features so I know for sure nothing has broken
(Perhaps if you can replay the story with a new character I'd be grateful if you can spot any errors/cutscene fuckups since I've played those cutscenes 100000 times for myself and get very tired ^_^)

Today I finished the illustrations for the cardboards and settled on the light switch colors, which will be the colors for the emotions in the emotion wheel. ^_^

Yesterday and today I was fixing up some issues and hearing feedback from other players about the new build. So it's coming together slowly, everything should be working without problems. I also added two new last-minute things: Bookshelves now have little icons/names to them to make it easier to talk about specific shelves, and the art room now has a light switch that can darken the entire room and hide playertags. The update is mostly finished, so it'll be released very soon!

I have now updated the game to Beta 2.4 version. The server will go offline as well for updating. It will be back shortly.

Okay, the update went fairly well with a few hiccups. Thankfully, most of the problems are server-side, so I will slowly fix them over the next couple of days. I know that there are problem with funder rewards as well as seeing the "Student" name talking (which is a bugged version of the player name) but fixes will be incoming! ^_^

So to recap today, I decided to rewrite the Calendar extension for the forum to be a better fit for my needs, which means:

Creating events in the calendar is now based on creating discussion threads under the "Kemoverse Event" tag.
Filling in the date and time is much easier and quicker for the event creator.
Players can respond if they're interested in the event or not.

I've also readjusted the Funder perks and made it much more straight forward about what features it actually unlocks and when. This is to combine with the new Funder/Coin payment system and integration with the social features of the game/forum, so that I won't have to worry about maintaining this system anymore. I would just like to make it as clear as possible: what i'm trying to do with the game, how you can support and help me, and what being a funder will get you ^_^

There will be an upcoming post about the server/funder changes introduced with this update in a day or two. Meanwhile, I'll finish up the client-side updates and probably release a hotfix tomorrow.
